Hi everybody,
So I decided to share my restoration process of several bike with those interested.
In my collection, 1986 Bottecchia SL, 1989 Bianchi Campione D'Italia, 1994 TVT, 1960's Peugeot Reynold's 531, 1970's Marinoni SL/SP Custom (only 3 made), 1991 Miele SL, 1994 Limongi.
2000 Marinoni SL Track, 1970's Kuboashi Track.
As for modern machines...
2001 Marinoni custom Ultimo Columbus Altec, 2003 Marinoni Chrono.
And brand new 2011 PowerWatts R1.0 full monocoque Carbon.
The Bottecchia has been repainted by Simone at Marinoni and she put the Bottecchia logo back on.
I hesitated between Red or Blue...I went with blue because at the time I thought of using it as a back up bike for racing and my team colours were blue/white...I kind of regret it now because red would have been pretty neat in red in keeping with the Bottecchia style when Greg Lemond won the Tour in 1989.
Well blue it is...my next choice, rebuild with the original Super Record or C-Record which is how I used to race it...the frame is bare right now, so I'll try to decide in the next little while.
My good ol Bianchi...I bought this bike in 1989 at Bicycles Eddy after saving a whole summer for it!
My first REAL racing machine...for a while this my Time Trial bike when I got my Miele, then it got inherited by my wife until I bought her a Argon18. So just recently I decided to restore it to it's formet glory as a TT machine.
My TVT got shelved for a while after I got my Marinoni. Recently I decided to rebuild it and just today I rode it outside! Felt great getting the old pro machine out.
Well, I'll post some pics of my machines soon...
